The Death Reaper logo is a study on letters and symmetry that will continue to evolve throughout the life of Deathside. We love writing letters and experimenting with the infinite variations that exist in the universe when combining these sequences. Historically, calligraphy was a high art generally reserved for high priests and aristocrats. In China, scholars, government officials, and members of the literati were the main practitioners. In the Islamic world, calligraphers were often scholars or religious figures, highly esteemed in society. In Europe, the original calligraphers were monks. In Japan, the Zen monks were some of the OG writers. The history of calligraphy is deep and extensive but in modern times the lost art really belongs to the streets! Deathside is the street scribes.
